How to Use Silicone Pans for Baking:
- Before use, you can briefly brush the silicone mould with some oil or coat silicone bakeware with cooking spray. That ensures that the silicone will, in fact, be non stick.
- Placing your silicone baking pans on a cookie sheet before you pour in the batter. This will make it easier to place the pans in the oven and, on the other side, easier to take out when your cake is done.
- Pre-heat the oven and follow oven temperatures as listed on cake, muffin or biscuit mix. Temperature resistant range for silicone mould is -40 ° C to 230 ° C.
- Pour the cake batter into the silicone moulds. Leave about 1/4 of an inch of space on top of mould. Place the cookie sheet and mould into the oven to bake for the amount of time noted in the recipe. Check frequently to ensure the cakes don't burn as baking time may vary with silicone moulds.
- Remove the cookie sheet and mould from the oven after baking. Wait a few hours or until cakes have cooled before decorating with icing. and enjoy your delicious cake.
Note:
Avoid using scouring pads or harsh cleaners to clean them.
Never use silicone baking moulds in a broiler, hotplate or over an open flame.
Never use a sharp object to remove items from mould, this can cause tearing or damage rendering the mould unusable.
